What is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is an FDA-approved family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to treat wrinkles and lines. Juvederm® may also be used for lip augmentation to provide subtle, softer, fuller lips.
Each product in the Juvederm® family is designed to target different facial concerns with a smooth consistency. The main targeted areas for the dermal fillers include the cheeks, lips, and around the nose and mouth.
How Do Dermal Fillers Work?
Juvederm® adds volume to your facial tissue through hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. Hyaluronic acid stimulates collagen production to reduce sagging and wrinkles of facial features.
Your provider injects a specific amount of the dermal filler into target areas of the face for skin rejuvenation, reducing wrinkles, restoring lost volume, and lessening facial scarring. Each injection contains minute amounts of lidocaine to help minimize any pain or discomfort during your treatment.
How Long Until I See Result from Juvederm®?
You may see your results immediately after your treatment. Unlike other facial rejuvenation treatments, you can enjoy smoother, brighter skin immediately after your 30 – 60 minute treatment. You may experience some redness, swelling, and bruising at the injection site that subsides within 2-4 days.

Juvederm® Ultra plus XC treats deeper lines and wrinkles in the lower to mid-facial region and adds plumping volume to lips.
Juvederm® Ultra XC
Juvederm® Ultra plus XC treats fine lines and wrinkles in the lower to mid-facial region like the smile lines around the mouth as well as adding plumping volume to lips.
Juvederm® Voluma™ XC
Juvederm® Voluma™ XC specializes in adding volume to the mid and lower facial regions like the cheeks, jawline and chin.
Juvederm® Vollure™ XC
Juvederm® Vollure™ XC is used to reduce dynamic fine lines and wrinkles in the mid-facial region.
Juvederm® Volbella™ XC
Juvederm® Volbella™ XC restores lost volume in the face by reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Volbella™ may also be used in lip augmentations and for the perioral lines (smoker lines around the mouth).
How Long Does Juvederm® Last?
Juvederm® Ultra, Ultra Plus, and Vollure™ last on average 6-9 months. Juvederm® Volbella™ lasts 6-12 months. Lastly, Juvederm® Voluma lasts 18-24 months.
