If you’re not ready for a facelift yet, but your face needs a boost, you might consider a Liquid Facelift or a Vampire Facial. Both treatments can firm sagging skin and reduce lines and wrinkles, helping you look younger and more rejuvenated, but they work in very different ways.

What is a Liquid Facelift?
Using dermal fillers such as Juvederm® and wrinkle-smoothing Botox®, a Liquid Facelift enhances the facial features, softens lines and wrinkles, and makes you look younger and more refreshed. Juvederm® can add volume to the cheeks, fill out the lines around the eyes, and firm the skin from beneath.
At the same time, your Renew MD provider may also use Botox® to treat deeper lines and wrinkles. Botox® uses a neurotoxin called botulinum that stops the signals between nerves and muscles. This works especially well on expression lines around the eyes, between the brows, and on the forehead.
Results of this treatment can last up to a year or even more. Botox® will wear off after three to four months, but the dermal filler may last for up to eighteen months.
What is a Vampire Facial?
A Vampire Facial, also known as microneedling with PRP, uses platelet-rich plasma from your own blood to enhance the results of a skin-rejuvenating microneedling treatment. Microneedling will create tiny channels in the skin, triggering the surrounding cells to produce healing factors and begin producing collagen.
The application of PRP to the treated area speeds up the healing process and, using the microneedling channels, enters the skin and stimulates the cells to begin a process of regeneration and renewal.
You may notice tighter, firmer skin within a few days, but you will see full results in two to three months. Your skin will look brighter and smoother, with fewer lines and wrinkles, a more even tone, and diminished acne scars. Results can last a year or more.
Liquid Facelift VS Vampire Facial: Which One is Right for Me?
Both of these treatments work best for a person with mild signs of aging, such as lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity. Neither treatment can duplicate the results of a facelift. Both last a year or longer, making them good for busy people who do not have time for regular treatments.
If you find yourself wishing for more volume in areas such as your cheeks, a Liquid Facelift may make a better choice for you. If you have concerns with skin evenness, firmness, and dullness, you may find that a Vampire Facial makes a better choice.
Am I a Good Candidate for a Liquid Facelift or Vampire Facial?
You may be a good candidate for both treatments. Almost anyone can use dermal fillers such as Juvederm®, and most people can receive microneedling treatment. PRP comes from your own blood, so there is no risk of a reaction when applied to your skin.
