What Can I Expect from LED Therapy?
RenewMD Medical Spa's LED light therapy program uses blue light therapy to target bacteria that cause acne and red light therapy to reduce inflammation. We typically recommend six blue and red LED light treatments, up to six salicylic treatments, a chemical peel, facial cleansing, and the use of topical skin treatments to treat acne. An LED light therapy session usually does not cause discomfort or require downtime afterward. It is a short procedure that generally lasts between 30 – 45 minutes, and most patients notice their acne starts to fade after three treatment sessions. Periodic maintenance sessions and at-home skin care products may be needed to maintain results.
