How Does a Vampire Facial Work?
A Vampire Facial combines two procedures. The first is microneedling, which penetrates the skin with many tiny needles to disrupt the underlying layers. This causes the surrounding areas of the skin to activate healing factors, and it causes the body to produce new collagen fibers that support and firm the skin.
Renew MD also uses radiofrequency (RF) energy as part of the microneedling process, delivering energy to the underlying tissue to stimulate even more collagen production. The second part of the procedure involves the application of PRP. This plasma comes from your own blood, which we draw and separate while we prepare you for your treatment. The PRP stimulates the skin to heal itself faster and to build more new collagen. As a result, skin looks healthier and more youthful. What Results Will I See from a Vampire Facial?
After your microneedling with RF and PRP treatment, your skin may be slightly red and swollen. The PRP helps this heal faster so you will see the results of your treatment sooner.
