Chemical Peels
Looking for a more effective solution to clearing any complexion issues, including wrinkles, fine lines, and even acne? Then it’s time to experience chemical peels at Renew MD in Reno, Nevada.
How Do Chemical Peels Work?
Want smoother-looking skin? Try Renew MD Reno’s chemical peels! A chemical peel is a skin resurfacing technique, often applied to the face, designed to smooth out acne scars, treat skin discoloration, and clear blemishes. The Renew MD medical staff is highly trained to administer these medical-grade chemical peels, which provide results that are expected to improve over several days.
Chemical peels exfoliate the treated area and provide many benefits, including smoother, softer skin and complexion, a reduction of fine lines, and the softening of mild scarring. Included is a post-treatment Red LED Light therapy, which can reduce redness and swelling, and stimulate collagen production.
Am I a Good Candidate for Chemical Peels?
You’re a good candidate for Chemical Peels if you have signs of aging (like wrinkles and fine lines), hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, and acne. If you have more moderate symptoms, you may be a better candidate for microdermabrasion.
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
A typical treatment takes about 60 minutes to administer. A chemical peel can be a little uncomfortable, as your skin will experience a noticeable burning sensation throughout the treatment.
What Results Will I See?*
You should see results about one to two weeks after your chemical peel treatment. You may need more than one chemical peel to see your ideal results.
Is There Any Downtime?
You should expect some downtime from this procedure, as your skin will be extremely red and sensitive after the procedure. Most patients prefer to take a few days off of work or schedule a Friday to allow their skin to heal. Depending on the strength of the peel you may see scabbing and peeling take place over the next two weeks. This would usually only happen when the most aggressive Peels are used. A typical Chemical Peel has little to no downtime.
